2. No other allowances will be paid.
3. No kind of Private practice is allowed during the tenure of service in ESIC.
4. Retired candidates from Central/ State Govt. / PSU from the equivalent posts are eligible to apply. Persons working in recognized/ approved Private Medical Institutions fulfilling eligibility criteria for the post may also apply.
5. The candidates have to attach the self-attested copies of all the relevant certificates/ testimonials on support of date of birth (Secondary exam certificate/Admit Card), category, sub-category i.e. educational qualification, teaching experience, Pension Payment Order (PPO), etc. with the application form and have to produce originals thereof at the time of Walk in Interview.
C. TERMS OF CONTRACT:
The contract would initially be for one year, to be extended for another two years on satisfactory performance, the incumbent would serve the initial first year of contract, independent of regular faculty joining during this period. However, the contract would be terminable on one-month notice, on joining of regular faculty in the subsequent years of contract or attaining the age of
70 years whichever is earlier.
**Although those posts are reserved for SC, ST, OBC category, in case of non- availability of the candidates of appropriate category, candidates from other category can be considered for appointment on contractual basis for period of less than 45 days. The contract will be renewable with further advertisement in absence of reserved candidates. [Vide Order No. 36036/3/2018 Estt. (Res.) dated 15.05.2018 of Govt. of India]
D. HOW TO APPLY:
The candidate should check his/her eligibility against the advertised criteria for each post before applying. Interested candidates should send filled in Application Form (Annexure-I) and enclosing necessary self-attested copies of certificates, as mentioned below, through email to deanpgi-joka.wb@esic.nic.in or at the Office of Dean through post /By hand within
31.12.2020 at 01:00 PM to become eligible for appearing in the Interview. The names of the
eligible candidates and tentative date, time and venue of interview will be communicated in the respective email id of eligible candidate and will be asked to appear in the Interview on the date mentioned in the Interview Call Letter sent by email.
The following testimonials/ certificate should be sent through email /post / by hand with the application form:-
1. Self Attested copy of UG certificate.
2. Self Attested copy of PG certificate.
3. Self Attested copy of proof of age / date of birth.
4. Certificate of Teaching Experience
5. Registration certificate issued by State Medical Council/MCI/DCI
6. Current OBC certificate
7. Research Publications in Indexed Journals
If any candidate wishes to appear for more than one post, he/she must send separate sets of filled in application forms for each post applied for.
Only eligible candidate should appear for the interview with the following documents on the stipulated date, time and venue.
a) One set of the prescribed application form enclosed with this notification must be printed on A4 size paper and properly filled up and submitted at the time of verification on the day of interview.
b) Two copies of recent self-attested color passport size photograph.
c) Two sets of self-attested copies of certificates and testimonials in support of: (i) proof of age/Date of Birth(Secondary exam certificate/admit card), (ii) Category (SC & ST), Category OBC and Category EWS in up to date Government of India Format, Sub-category, (iii) Educational Qualifications: (Graduate, Post Graduate certificate, & any other),(iv)Registration certificate issued by State Medical Council/MCI/DCI (v) MCI/DCI recognized teaching experience issued by the Head of the Institute or Head of the Department, (vi) Research Publications in Indexed Journals, (vii) Pension Payment Order (PPO), in case of retired employees from Govt. organizations (Viii) NOC for in service candidate from employer (ix) Service bond release certificate if applicable along with original documents
If any candidate wishes to appear for more than one post, he/she must appear with separate sets of application forms, documents and testimonials, photographs, and separate demand draft fees for each post applied for.

A Demand Draft of Rs. 225/- in favour of ‘ESI Fund Account No. I’, drawn after 10.12.2020 on any scheduled bank payable at ‘Kolkata’ has to be submitted along with the Application Form at the time of Interview.
Note: i) Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
ii) Only Demand Draft drawn on any Scheduled Bank will be accepted. Application Fee paid by any other mode will not be accepted.
iii) The Demand Draft must be issued after the date of issue of this advertisement. (iv) Separate Demand Drafts to be paid if candidate applies for more than one post.

Selection Procedure:
i. The selection will be made on the basis of performance of the candidate in interview before the
Selection Board.
ii. Result will be displayed on web-site: www.esic.nic.in.
General Conditions:
i. Mere submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate to be interviewed.
ii. Application should be submitted in the prescribed format only. The applications found to be incomplete will be summarily rejected.
iii. Wrong declarations/ submission of false information or any other action contrary to law shall lead
to cancellation of the candidature at any stage.
iv. Opportunity of interview given to candidates will be on provisional basis.
v. The interviews shall be conducted at academic building (2nd Floor) DEAN OFFICE, ESIC MEDICAL COLLEGE, Joka, Diamond Harbour Road, Kolkata 700104. However, ESIC
reserve the right to change the centre, if needed.
vi. Schedule of Interview will be communicated through mail.
Application Process:
Shortlisted candidates who are called for the interview based on their application and eligibility, shall attend the same as per the intimation sent through email.
The ESIC reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage at its discretion and such decision will be binding on all concerned.
